The Operations team has been aggressively pursuing automation to enhance the customer experience while driving efficiency throughout our end-to-end processes. As an important step forward, we are introducing automated uploading of documents tied to Private Client Select/Risk Specialists Companies Insurance Agency, Inc. during the first quarter of 2018 (this entity is also referred to as our surplus lines business).
Each month, approximately 40,000 documents are manually uploaded by the Private Client Select team. Documents range from simple correspondence to signed state required forms and documentation. The accuracy of this process is integral to meet compliance guidelines for state-mandated audits and policies. While every document is unique, the process to upload each one is similar—making this important function a great candidate for automation. Automation allows individual documents to be uploaded and viewed within a faster time frame, and consequently improves our overall turnaround times.
Just as important, automation will free up the Operations team to spend more time focusing on higher level tasks in support of our customers and brokers. The additional capacity will also better position us to absorb future growth.
