December 2019

The Pulse of the Partnership

An Introductory Note from our Firms

Welcome to the AIG and Gallagher newsletter!

The past year has been a positive and transitional one between our firms. We created and built upon new and existing relationships, jointly created new go-to-market strategies, and worked to keep our existing mutual clients satisfied, while bringing in new ones. During this time, a great deal of progress has been made in understanding our growth goals and establishing two-way communication to best support each other.  We have laid a foundation that will support unprecedented clarity, collaboration, and success going forward. Together, we are working from every angle to create a best in class solutions for our clients.

To achieve these goals, we have narrowed our focus to a few strategic initiatives to close 2019 and begin 2020 with momentum.

• Implement a new process designed to better align AIG and Gallagher on SmartMarket:

 • Opportunities will be pre-filtered based on AIG’s current appetite for easier vetting at AIG and improved accuracy for Gallagher for submissions requested.

• Introduce new AIG product leader and key senior resources to assist in clearly communicating AIG appetite to Gallagher branches.

• Grow Umbrella/Excess through a joint initiative that launches in 4Q.

Throughout this newsletter and in those that will follow, you will find a variety of information on these initiatives, shared successes, and best practice resources.  We want to thank you all for all the hard work and effort you have and will put in to ensure that our mutual growth efforts will succeed.

AIG and Gallagher are working together to fulfill a need in the marketplace, and all can expect to hear more about this effort in 2020.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!
